Stylin’ with Palin

Turns out that “Hockey Mom” Sarah Palin and her family don’t get their wardrobes nowadays from Marshalls, T.J. Maxx, (two of my favorites) or J.C. Penney (I’ve gotten some nice shirts there). They have been kitted out by the RNC with fashions from Neiman Marcus (over $75,000 worth) and Saks Fifth Avenue (nearly $50,000 worth).

No word yet from the campaign trail about what Mrs. Joe Plumber or Mrs. Joe Six-Pack wears, but we’re sure that Fox Nues will be all over it.

As Mr. Rogers (God rest his soul) might have asked, “Can you say ‘elite,’ boys and girls?”

Sarah, are those Manolo Blahniks, or are you just glad to see me?

  • Sir, your snippery is childish and sexist. Sarah Palin explained that her wardrobe was to be used after the campaign for money for charity. The fact that you and others have had to stoop to talking about her wardrobe shows how such triviality and is insulting to all women. Sarah has provided women everywhere with a great example of courage and hope. Your mean spiritited attitude says more about you than Sarah.

  • Oh, let me see if I get this right: The Republican Party attempts to “frame” the Palin Veep candidacy as “You are voting for someone just like you, not like those East-Coast ELITIST LIBERALS, who shop at expensive stores, and buy expensive clothes, and eat at expensive restaurants” and “frames” Palin as a former-beauty-pageant contestant, van-driving small-town Hockey Mom, but I can’t call them on their hypocrisy and duplicity?

That would be like someone’s saying, “Anyone who criticizes Obama is a racist.”

Obama won, M, as much because people are disgusted with Republican dishonesty and misgovernment as they were attracted by Obama’s message.

You put an Hermes scarf on a pig, M, but it’s still just a pig.
